6/17/2012 “What My Father Taught Me” Guest Preacher: George Smith

George Smith is a third generation JP resident who came to First Church with his foster children, Ian and Erin, in the late 90s for the RE program. After an extended trial period he signed the book and soon was a member of the Standing Committee, Building Committee, a Coffee Hour coordinator, substitute RE teacher, and sometimes sexton. He has worked at the Arbour Hospital in JP since 1983, and in 1980 was the co-founder of BAGLY (the Boston Alliance of G/L/B/T Youth). George also completed Northeastern’s American Sign Language and Deaf Studies programs).
