The Spiritual Journeys Book Group, which is open to all, meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm in the Morse Room. At the end of each meeting we choose a book which we will discuss in the next meeting. The books run the gamut from religious theory (for example, Simone Weil's Waiting for God) to contemporary fiction (for example, Nadine Gordimer's July's People).

The book group is open to anyone who would like to discuss one book or many. We read a wide variety of books, including novels, religious theory, biography,... whatever the group is attracted to. We enjoy having a wide variety of perspectives and often have spirited discussions.

The meetings have a facilitator but the direction of discussion is up to the group.

Most meetings have about eight people attending; some come to all meetings, some join only for a book that interests them.

Feel free to come to a meeting even if you haven't read the book. You may find the discussion stimulating.
