The overall purpose of the Membership Committee of the First Church in Jamaica Plain is to help the church be more welcoming and engage in such other activities as will help increase and strengthen the church's membership. To welcome newcomers to the Church; to shepherd them through the membership process; to teach them about the church; to help them make their initial connections within the congregation; and to assist them, as well as longer-term members, to sustain their relationship to the church.
