The members and friends of First Church in Jamaica Plain, Unitarian Universalist, join together in a common respect for the beliefs and feelings of all:

To cherish the divine and creative spirit within each person;

To encourage diversity within our congregation, promote our liberal church tradition, and welcome all those who wish to come together with us;

To honor the wisdom of generations past, to use those lessons wisely in our time, and to share what we have learned with young and old;

To be a good neighbor and committed member of our urban community, and

To provide a base for good works in our city and beyond, and to promote peace and social justice in our world.
