Rev. Elz Curtiss' homily at Kings Chapel October 15, 2003

Our church school is the cooperative effort of parents, the Religious Education Committee, and the congregation. The Rev. Elz Curtiss is our Director of Religious Education.

Our purpose is to provide a Unitarian Universalist religious education for children and youth. We emphasize Jewish and Christian traditions in our curriculum, introduce the world religions, and teach forms of worship.

Classes meet Sundays from September to June.

Classes are offered for preschool, elementary, and junior high school children from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. A short children's chapel service is held before classes for prayer and worship. Several times a year, children participate in part or all of the Sunday worship service in the sanctuary.

High school youth meet occasionally for community service projects or social events.

Nursery care is available every Sunday. Parents and/or sitters share caring for babies and toddlers during all worship services.
